On my recent track day i noticed my oil temps were getting quite high.

On normal road driving it sits at about 90c

Push it on the road i see about 100c

On the track at oulton it was showing 125c.

What do you guys see on your oil temp guage?

Normal driving and track driving.

I've never seen mine go past the 3/4 mark and usually half way past the half way mark on the track (i.e. below the 125 mark) - maybe I need to drive a bit harder :hahaha:

Completely normal.

Also I try to have a glance to judge how much of cool down lap req'd. I'm a bit cooler than that on road IIRC

On my cool down lap it as at about 105c coming into pits.

I thought it was normal, but better to check,

Thats your coolant, you guys have problems if your coolant temp is running that high, i just had my viscous replaced as it was getting warm, only at standstill though,

If you are getting that warm whilst moving you have either

1, blocked coolant system
2, faulty stat
3, faulty water pump
4, head gasket issue,

I would get your car checked before your engine pops.

My car coolant temp did not budge from halfway all day at oulton

was a year ago and both CSLs there had exactly the same issue but it was 32 deg with over 40 deg track temp
