Well the guy who was buying it pulled out at the 11th hour, got a text from another interested party we agreed a price (subject to viewing), he then had the cheek to text later in the day offering £1k less than we had agreed.
Note to all people trying to buy a CSL on the cheap:
"I do not need to sell my car so please do not offer ridiculous prices as i will not sell"
I am in two minds to put the price up next time someone haggles me down - that will confuse em :hahaha::hahaha:

It's a sign mate... Someone somewhere is trying to tell you not to sell the CSL!
You may as well keep it now - you belong here after all!

Think your right mate, i was really gutted i couldnt come to the Ring :bigcry:
Im just sick of the cheeky offers and then people looking round your car trying to pick fault with it. At the end of the day i still have a CSL and they dont
I might still buy a shitter to run round in for the winter and start saving for a brake upgrade ;)
You can get some real cheap E30 325 on PH
you belong here after all!
You are right Rob, i am after all the Hexagon & Breakout champion in the arcade :finger:

You should have come mate - my best weekend there in the 6 times i've been!
I still toy with the idea of an old E30 M3 as a daily run around :smokin:
Regarding your CSL, if i recall, member 'CSLCHAN' was gutted that he missed your car...? Might be worth a PM?

I would love an E30 M3 but they only have manuals :bigcry:
SpineonaBap - he did ring me and we spoke for a good 15 minutes discxussing the car and we agreed a price and for him to give me a deposit. Only for him to text me 40 minutes later with a offer £1k less :banghead:
Will give CSLCHAN a pm

Screw em, if you don't need to sell just tell them all to sod off until you get the offer you want. If we as owners all did that then prices will only stay strong.

Yeah, and don't discuss negotiations on a forum as they can read it. The seller is giving away 'tells' ;-)

Plus have you seen the prices lately...good Evo11 and Evo Sports..30k..wish I had kept mine now.
I reckon you should put the price up on your car...in fact I think everyone who's selling should put their prices up by 5k....that would really confuse the market.

CSL price will keep going up if anyone that's selling it puts up the price higher... I think we should all do that to keep the CSL price up there. No point selling the car to those people who want cheap stuffs and I hate those low ballers... THey can pick up a regular M3 if they want something cheap... not the CSL!

And talking prices for CSL's relative to mileage, the levels in Germany are just so much higher, there are cars on mobile.de with 50k miles plus being offered at 50,000 euro's or more, with low mileage cars on for 75,000 euro's! Why such a difference over there?

No wonder there has been an interest in RHD CSL's from buyers in Europe.
I'm suffering the same problems too selling mine. The first question is "What is the lowest price you'll take for cash today". Not, is it a sh!tter, has it been bent etc.... does my head in.
Then there was the guy who was flying in to buy it........... never showed on the day.....

Watching you guys from the other side of the fence (cheap M3) is quite funny.
It's not so long ago that people reckoned they wouldn't dip below 25k, then they'd never hit 20k... come on, it's just a car! It's going to depreciate just like most other cars, and selling anything in the current climate is going to result in daft offers.. I've had bids from 12k to 17k off traders for my M3.
Best think you can do is just use the bloody thing and feck the depreciation :supz:

I actually advertised mine on mobile.de in Germany for 36,000 euro's. Now it had 16k miles, never had paint etc, the equiavalent LHD car was 60000 euro's, I didnt get one single enquiry..!!

Too cheap for Germany and they probably assume there's a problem with it. I would have stuck it up at 60k Euro including delivery.

A guy from Belgium who i known has selling a LHD CSL for 26k sterling, the prices are not that different as you should think. In Europe there is a big difference with the warranty and there is also the asking and selling price.
A csl is a great car so keept or sell it to me for a bargain :hahaha:

Agree with the last point but if you want a good idea as to the long term price target of the CSL just take a look at what E30 M3 EVOs are selling for. It makes no sense at all that the CSL will depreciate long term and if I had not got one already I'd certainly be tempted now while they are still cheap.

I think thats a difficult one...I'm not sure if you can put a CSL in the same catagory as an E30 M3...The E30 will always be the definative M car and a car designed for motorsport with a great heritage and a history of winning races where as the CSL was built as a road/track day car....it just doersn't have the motorsport race winning pedigree.....Don't get me wrong I'm not putting th CSL down as it's a fantastic car and yes I believe if you hang onto a good one and keep the miles low it will make you money but that will be a fair few years yet......I also think that the CSL will be remembered as the last great 'M' car which will help residuals...BMW don't make em like this anymore and with all the legisation probably will not ever again. God just look at the latest range..a bloody 4 x 4...what the hell is going on.

Its true... but now is now and what about 10 years...nobody can tell it. Maybe the taxes are just that high that you buy it for a bargain or the other way is also possible.
Electric cars are coming thats for sure, if those are a good value the other cars will falling down in prices.Enjoy it while you drive it!!!!

So I guess the hassle was worth it.
Shame, I guess there should be a code word so you can weed out the numpties from prospective CSL buyers to prove genuine interest :)
