I have been offered a set of 2-3 month old KW3 for £700.

Is it worth the money, its condition is almost brand new.

Whats the addition price for Geo and fitting? Awaiting back on price from TMS.

That's a great deal. I probably would if it were offered to me.

Anyone here have experience with the Bilstein PSS10s?

the set on ebay?

No private sale through a BMW parts breaker. £700 no offers.

Good price if they're straigt and 3 months old... I spoke to the eBay seller who couldn't provide evidence of fitment or purchase date, but said 'they look 3 months old...'

There's a tale of someone buying secondhand on mtorque which makes interesting reading...

Hi there

I've been reading up about this and talking to Elliot and have learned the KW3 setup is ideal for road use and odd bit of track use.

Wheras some of the other setups are a bit hardcore for the road.

yeah i think i remeber that story, i say with secondhand upgrades of this type you really need to know the history.

Thanks all for the advice.
I have just spoken to John @ TMS and he said the same KW3 is for more road use but clubsport is for more track work. KW are being take over by Nitron at TMS, John says they are that good.

I may wait!...

I've just changed the Bilstein for KW club sport as am making my CSL into more of a track toy

The KW club sport is defiantly a harder ride, not for every day use.

The Bilstein are very good and easy to adjust and the ride is like standard suspension. plus better on track than the stock unit.

I am going to get the Bilstein to service my PSS9 set then I will probably sale them on.

Nitron or Moton?

Clubpsorts are certainly more for the track than the road, however the lack of warranty on them now is something to consider (I'm sure KW wont be daft about it though).

We will have new road and race stuff from Nitron and Moton coming out very soon, some of it will compliment KW some of it will surpass it by quite a margin ;)

I would have thought so John, Nitron are very, very good; on par with Ohlins.

I would have thought a decent price for fitting and Geo was about £300-400 plus vat.

You may need some adjustable front top mounts so dont get that all done and then have the top mounts and pay for the geo all again!!!!!

All depends on the state of the dampers but £700 is a decent enough price. Fitting is about 2 hours and full geo another 2 hours so assume about £300 or so.
