Im sure this has been asked numerous times before, but i tried searching but had no luck :(

So as the title suggests, im at Silverstone tomorrow and forgot how much pressure is needed front and back (265), can anyone advise?

Your regular road pressures IMO.

The trick is to MAINTAIN THEM, as on track you'll work the tyres so much harder and the pressure will increase more than you'll ever see on the road. Just do a few 'hot' laps and come in and check them - back down the pressure to what you'd normally run, then go out again (repeat etc until they're stable). As long as they're in the ball-park then you should be fine.
Remember they'll be a lot lower when cold though! So be careful if you've had a long break and remember the drive home too :)

Also weather dependant, I did my first trackday on Monday, absolutely p155ed down all morning, dry in the afternoon, when wet the pilot sports were difficult to get up to temparature (I was being a bit of a wuss to be fair, but rears are really dead), when dry then were VERY easy, keep an eye on temps and pressures

THanks for the replies, the track day went well and the weather was perfect.

Interestingly we went out with the tyres at standard (32psi - if thats correct?), but the car was really unstable around chicanes very slidy! So increased the pressure to 38/39psi and the car worked well. Although can understand why people have upgraded to coilovers for track purposes..

The car did really well but on some of the fast long corners think coilovers would really help.

I know it sounds weird but yes at 38psi the car handled better. However if this was because the tyres were warmer with the new pressure may make sense..

So i should i have kept running at 32psi and waited longer for the tyres to warm up?
