I must say im totally blown away.

Even more so after my mods I've done.

Since owning it since 6th june 2009(it sticks in my mind:whistle:), ive done the following, all myself mind.

Fully serviced.
Modded my shift buttons as per previous posts.
Set of 18" pro race 1.2 wearing yokohama a048 medium/hard slippers 235 40 18 front and 265 35 18 rears. Just for the track
Refurbed my original alloys in black.
New road tyres.
Fitted 100 cell race cats (now sounds ferrari/lambo ish with the titanium rear section)
Fitted a set of AP's bbk with carbo tech xp10 pads front and rear, stands on its nose now.
Fitted a set of KW Clubsport coilover suspension, only done a quick setup before i get round to a full geo/corner weighting session. But i must say the brakes and the suspension have made the car come alive.
Esp the kw's, they just inspire you to take the corners faster and fill you with confidence.

If you are going to do any mods, make sure you start with brakes/suspension, forget engine mods on these babies.

All this ready for my upcoming trackdays:thumbs:

If anyone is coming to oulton on 1st august it will be good to put names to faces. Look forward to meeting you guys.

My reg plate reads S 14WSY, come say hello:thumbs:

Shane, sounds like you are having fun....glad you are enjoying your CSL. It's hard to think of what to replace her with when/if the time comes.

Would be very interested to hear any feedback or issues you have had fitting and adjusting them.

Cheers,

Fitting was very simple, but i do own a garage:whistle:

So far without perfect setup, ie height, rebound, camber etc etc they feel 75% better than stock, im dialing them in on wed so ill let you know.
And ill report back after oulton park:thumbs:

Looking good Shane.

I'm looking at the same wheels for my track wheels, How much lighter are they than the standard ones???

Also can you please explain corner weighting and how it's done. I have heard people talk about it before but have never understood what it means.

I too have the KW Clubsports and rate them highly, there are a few of us on here that have shared our settings, i'll dig them out for you if you like.

I had no issues fitting them cause i had someone do it for me

Regarding the adjustability, the rear lower adjustment can be a pain in the arse, crawling under the car with a little rod to use for adjustment, but you get used to it and i can do it pretty quickly.

Regarding the adjustable camber plates, BMSport set it up so all i have to do is undo the 13mm on the turret tops and jack the car up and i can have either -2 for road or -2.5 for track, seems to work ok for me and very user friendly.

Imagine a table which rocks, due to slightly different length legs, the weight is then unevenly distributed. If you alter the table legs, ie add to one, remove from another you balance said table.

Now imagine your car, placed on 4 scales, one on each wheel.
Slightly more weight on nsf. Raise nsf, lower osr, then the weight is moved.
The ride heights are changed very slightly on each corner in order to balance them out, not the quickest job in the world.

my weight is added to drivers seat and my desired choice of fuel is used.

Your top mounts must be different from mine, as mine need 4 torx bolts undoing to adjust the camber.

If you could send the info that will be great.

I see now and it makes sense, thanks for explaining it for me. well that's defo on the list of things to do to the car.

I have got KW V3 clubsports...

I have got the 4 x hex bolts but because the only thing i like to fiddle with are women i got BMSport to set it up this way. If further down the line i want more neg camber i will get them to adjust it

I'll dig those settings out for you.

The track ones are from Daz and i reckon he might have made a few tweaks since then so might be best he posts somemore up for us all to benefit from

Come on Daz you Racing GOD.... enlighten us with your knowledge :supz:
