Just into my 2nd week of ownership. Don't seem to be able to talk or think of anything else!
SG 53 with all (6) options ticked. Best money I've spent in ages.
Mrs drove it and thought it was rubbish until she pressed sport + S5.

Yeah that was Clarkson doing his usual thing! He also said it didn't have climate control! :banghead:

Anyway the spec is everything except xenons.

aircon is for reps on the road :blalalala: I like my mk4 escort knobs and carbon fibre radio with no buttons

I can't wait really - although i may have to mod the brakes. They cook quite quickly on the road so they must be hopeless on track.

Yep no good if your on track , or hard on the brakes from Highly Illegal speeds ! :whistle:

Did 7/8 laps on the GP circuit at the ring, by lap 3 they were cooked, and I was taking deep breaths as I headed into each corner whilst pedal was buried in the carpet !!

AP 's for me, just sorting them out at the MO, going black - yellow ap.

Think the Cups are going on tomorrow too, although its still quite cold, which is when they dont work !

Heading to Milton Keynes to see thorney for midday, if anyone is on or near the M1 around 10.30 - 12 :thumbs:

Another newbie here - i picked mine up exactly 3 weeks ago today - its SG, 04 plate with only 16k miles on clock, BMW warranty and MINT!! Ive only managed to cover a handful of miles as i have a couple of other cars as daily runners. This wont be a garage queen but i dont intend to put many miles on it. Have my first track day at Brands on 25th and intend to do a Ring trip in new year. Car was completely stock when i bought it. Mods so far are mainly cosmetic but took the car to Bexley MS in the week to have Powerflex RTA Poly Bush kit fitted plus full geo set up. Ive also added 12mm Eibach spacers. So far im absolutely loving the CSL - its stepped out a few times with DSC off but seems very controllable within reason. The induction roar is so addictive and it simply feels like a special occasion each time i get in it. :thumbs:

How hot exactly are the rossers in your country , I know I've heard stories of car crushing etc for speeding , and we always seem to still , tear through belgium on the way to the ring ... nice flat obscenely high top end speeds on those 3 lane sections ...

They had 3 Police bikes hidden behind a bridge and also pulled another Brit and a German car at the same time as me... Anti-tourists? :hahaha:

Don't know that exactly for foreigners... but if we drive 30miles/h too fast, we loose our driving license for a minimum of 2 weeks + a big fine :banghead:

So most of the time I drive 100 miles/h on those 3lane sections, not more ! And looking out for the flashes of course :birdman:

Foreigners have to pay directly when they get caught I guess, but cannot loose their driving license in Belgium. So bring cash or credit card with you and no problem at all :gayfight:

I'll be accurate, I have seen it once behind the pits at Silverstone from about 50 yards but I didn't know I was going to buy it then!

It is a risk I know, however like I said, I know the owner and the previous one. It was resprayed (for stone chips) and then armour-fended in Dec hence mint bodywork. 2 sets of CSL rims are both immaculate, it hasn't been crashed although I'm fully aware it has seen a few trackdays. BM extended warranty, APs with new PF discs on the front, new BM discs on the back with pads...

Owner has a 360CS and a GT-R inbound and so needed to sell one of the garage collection!

It was as safe a buy as.............. that Cat D!

All stock except the AP Racing 6 pots and 4 pots with yellow Pagids and Race brake fluid.

Mostly to be spotted @ Spa or the NS.

Already met some of you guy's @ Spa two years ago, remember the 10 CSL's photo shoot ? :wink:

I believe so, the car was registered in April 05. I bought the car in Nov 07 with 10k on the clock.

Mine is 53 SG - Totally standard, running on Pilot Sports

Purchased privately June 2009. Unless financial circumstances dictate otherwise, it's a keeper (or am I still in the "lust" period ?).

Previously I had a Audi S3, sold it as I have a daughter and bought the CSL as a toy. Love the car, its noise is lovely. I am lucky as I have a very rare clean example, only use it on the weekends in summer.:drool:

I'm Ken from Belgium .
I'v been following the forum for about 8th months , I came here when I searched for info about the CSL .
I've bought mine 5 months ago in France with 22000km , before I had a E30 M3 convertible & E36 M3 GT . The CSL is :thumbs: it's a keeper .
I've already had the leaking mirror issue and solved it by using this forum :notworthy:

I actually google'd CSLReg the other day and it come up on top. I just google M3 CSL though, and got a load of youtube videos. How do we sort that one out Mark? Where is it we're supposed to click constantly?

Another newbie to the clan ! CL04CSL Reg.

YES (at last)...flirted with it several times but now I got it & it's locked in my garage as we speak waiting for tomorrow ;)

Like my (past) GT3 in that every drive is a special occasion :)

04 black, 33k miles, all standard (won't be staying that way indefinitely tho...BBK on the cards and I'll undoubtedly succumb to the desire for more POWER! :)

It's gonna get LOTS of exercise with me ;)
