You demonstrate the perfect way how to not do business or make a sale.
Thanks for the offer of the 'paddles-that-were-sold-to-me-but-seller-ignores-PMs-and posts-then-promises-them-if-the-car-doesn't-sell-in-the-next-two-weeks-then-says-they-were-promised-to-someone-else'... but I'm no longer interested. :wanker:
If you didn't intend or couldn't sell them in the first place, just say so and don't waste peoples time. This was meant to be a very small and easy trade, but it's the principle. :banghead: Noteworthy that you also never responded to s.mac or me on the rest of the CF bits we said we wanted to buy, but no worries 'dude'. ;)

Buy his car and the carbon bits and paddles come free, refit your old parts to it, remove paddles, carbon etc, remove ap brakes, remove plate, sell ap's and plate then resell car. you may make a few pennies and get the bits you wanted;)

Very much agree with ducades posts, its not the monitary value - whether it be £10, £20 or £1000 - but the principle of things.
Regardless, Mark has done me no wrong and I wish him good luck with the sale :)

Might be interested in the plate if you were interested in selling separately Mark.

Hello guys, sorry for the late reply. Don't get much spare time to log on and catch up. My appologies for not coming to see you guys and saying hello I spent most of the weekend chewing myself about the car. It's still not running correctly and is back in at BMW for the second time. I hope this time it will come back right!!!!! I have a feeling now I bought it with the fault of the airbox not opening. My fault I guess I just didnt know what was right and wrong until I started using it. I'm hoping I will get the car back tomorrow so I'll keep you guys informed.......
P.S Does anyone happen to have a spare csl plaque for the centre console I could strike a deal with? I believe mine was supplied with the car and is no longer there.

Hello Mark, thanks for all the information via text uve given me..... I didnt use the car at the ring as I was unsure whether I would do everlasting damage. I had only owned the car 2 days and had a feeling something just wasnt right when I bought it and drove it home. The trouble is they are so quick and the mixture of some induction note and the exhaust rasp it was hard to tell. I guess I was right though cos it's still in BMW unfixed..... Lets hope my experience gets better with the car because at the minute I feel like selling it. Ive had a 911 for 2 years with numerous track days and it never missed a beat. I'm missing the old girl at the minute:bigcry:

dont overconcern yourself with that one
my airbox has failed 3 times now, potentiometer every time, aqnd i never picked it up once although i knew something was not right every time
this time the flap has gone, so if i were you get it fixed and then get it out!!!!!;)
Lee13
12-08-2009, 07:44 PM
Hello Shimmy, did you just remove the flap and leave the stepper motor & potentiometer in place, letting the car think the flap was there? Or for that matter have any of you guys out there removed yours and if so is that what you have done?

Also whilst I was in the BM dealer today I asked about having the limiter removed as I have been told it can be done in house now without sending the ECU to Germany. I was told it was never an option to order the car de-limited and if I have it done it will void my warranty. Is anyone out there that has had it done by a dealer? Cheers guys Lee

Bmw can do it but the ecu needs to be sent back to germany it costs 500euros and you need a racing licence
It was an option when new but you still needed a racing licence
Also if you have it done out with bmw they will void the warranty
I know a CSL they have done that too

I have no flap - dead easy job, motor remains in-situ. Quite a common thing that many owners do - noise all the time regardless of 'Sport' being on or not
I also had the limiter removed when i had a Stage 1 ECU tune last year by Thorney. Any good BMW specialist tuner should be able to do it.
