Last coupla times Ive went to get my car out the battery has been dead. When I take it a good spin and switch the car off, it'll start again, but one time I sat with the radio on for an hour and it wouldnt start again, and if the car sits a few days it wont start either.
Normally Id just change the battery, but seeing as theirs been a few 'nator failures here, is there any other signs / ways of checking?

If the alternator isn't providing charge you will get the red 'battery' symbol illuminate on the upper centre of the dash - not good!

Yep i can vouch for that as i broke down 10 feet from the ferry :banghead::banghead:
About 50 miles from Calais red light started to appear when i booted the loud pedal and went off when i eased off, about 10 miles away it was on constantly, when i pulled into the ferry docking lanes the dashboard light up like 4th July and the car started to splutter and struggled to tick over :bigcry::bigcry:
bout £275 notes lighter :banghead:

Must just be a combination of my battery and lack of use, poor car.:bigcry:
