View Full Version : OE53 OGO - Anyone know this car??

Craig

Hi all,

Sorry for my first post been a history check, but after selling my Exige S spur of the moment I've decided to finally give a CSL ago after toying with the idea for the last 18 months.

So, I just wondered if anyone knew OE53 OGO? It's grey on 53k and is located in West Yorkshire... car has the usual refinements plus a few aftermarket parts which I would have done anyway (AP/KW/Supersprint).

If anyone has owned this car, or knows the history on the vehicle I'd be happy to hear from you.

Regards, Craig!

Care to elaborate? I'm no angel with cars, I use them properly but they get maintained to the highest degree and regularly detailed too, yes they may have stone chips but apart from that there faultless.

PM me if you like??

dont know any details but would have been driven hard and tracked but sold 18 months ago i guess or even more so would have had different history in that time

search phattys old PH or MTorque(robertmugabe) posts

Ohh yeh, I've been reading up on his posts and what not and yeh it looks like its been tracked hard for the first two years. It'll be going straight to the Nurburgring when I get it too, Exige did 43 faultless laps of the place but was just lacking a bit of grunt for the long up hill stretches.

If it's been maintained right, I can't see too much of a big deal. He sold it on 25,000 so now on 53,000 anything that was going to wear should have theoretically been replaced by now.

I'm more bothered about gravel traps, replaced panels, etc...

Haha, this is sounding interesting... already have sent him a well constructed mail, hopefully he'll get back to me. Thanks for you're input by the way, I know most people ignore history check posts usually!

Angus' has been dented a couple of times but repaired by BM dealers. Cosmetic, ie front splitter, wing and rear end. When Angus sold it, most of the stuff he put back on was brand new. He looked after it but yes it was tracked...

I believe a pheasant also ruined another bumper for him. Angus is a bit of a demon on track, but would not have skimped on repairs or maintenance.

Craig had an 'incident' at the Ring late last year shortly after acquiring his CSL. I'm sure he can tell you more. His original post was removed some time ago - it was on PGT at the time too.

Yep sl65 amg v12 bi turbo, bit of an animal in a straightline, would muller our csl's in traffic light grand prix's and esp when on the move.

But show it some corners and the csl kicks its arse.

Ive personally had 5 AMG mercs, awesome cars, awesome power, but they dont quite have the composure of the CSL.

His SL65 was a bastard in a straight line, came past my GT3 like it was parked on the M42 one day in history......which considering it WAS pink is very worrying. Anis can tell you about when it came past him once on 'a road' at 'some speed' way past where a CSL could ever get to, even unlimited!

Feck me, I remember that all too well. He was sitting on the chuff of your GT3 and I was behind the pink monster. You moved over to let him by and it just disappeared. I was in my 997 C2S flat to the floor.

Later on we were getting on the M6 I think and a Flying Spur shot past as we were going down the slip road. Angus just nailed it and reeled him in as if he was just standing still and the Flying Spur was clearly flat out. It was brutal that Merc, absolutely brutal.:smokin:

Merc was mighty.

670bhp on Weltmeister rollers.

216mph on road angel.

Chalkie managed to get this shot whilst I was driving in Germany. Was still accelerating. Speedo error was virtually nil (roughly calibrated at a vMax event)

Hello all .
I would like to pitch into this thread with some facts.
OE53 OGO was purshased by myself on 27/10/2007
Previous owner was Mark Steward and before him it was Angus Dawe
I offerd the car for sale last June and Craig did contact me about the car.
Due to personal matters at the time i withdrew the car from sale.
Craig did not purshase OE53 OGO.
I still own the car and have now put it up for sale again.
So please guys can we get the facts right as i'm trying to sell the car
and interested parties are seeing this thread.

It has been one hell of a car and i have loved every drive !
As Angus has said earlier The Engine Is A Corker

Thanks
Phil Hammond

I just corrected Angus yesterday about this, hadn't noticed this thread. I DID NOT buy OGO as for the above reasons, I spent a lot more on an absolute garage queen car to then go and wreck it! :(

I wanted to view OGO as it has AP's and KW's which would have suited me to the ground, so Phil how much are you looking for it if you come to put it back up for sale??

Craig
25-03-2010, 06:10 PM
Also may I add all threads about my car have been removed as its a little sensitive subject at the moment, you've all heard the horror stories related with said German road before. I will be posting everything once the matter has been dealt with, but for the record the accident wasn't a simply lack of talent incident, there was another party involved that caused my collison, however I'm the one loosing out. :bigcry:

Those who've spoke to me in person get to see the 'proper' pics and the full story, but I will not post any material on the internet just yet.

It's been great ! Used it as a daily driver for some time and planned to do
some track days with it but only managed two.Which was a real shame as
i think the mods you did would of really shown on track. The sound it makes is to die for. Loved the CSL experience just time to move on
