Help :bigcry: :bigcry: :bigcry:

For years i have used Moris.co.uk for my track day insurance.

Log on the week comencing and get everything booked up.

However went on last night to get covered for this weekend and they have suspended Track cover. Called them today and all they would say is that it was suspended for the time being and were unable to tell me when it would be available again.

Gave my everyday insurance company a call (Keith Michaels) and they can't cover the CSL on the policy they have sold me :banghead: :banghead:

Anyone have any recommendations?

Cheers.

Uses Royal Sun but be aware there is something funny regarding engine and gearbox cover. I'd query what would happen if you front ended the car and it damaged the engine?

I couldn't determine whether the exclusion was for engine and gearbox damage outside of a crash or as part of one.

Cheers,
Jeff

FYI, my quote for the ring for two days on a TF day was £440 covering £23,000. It was higher than some companies but it was a last minute decision before the ring.

Just had a quote from Pace ward for £241 with a £3K excess.

Put the value down @ £30K max so dont know if that's good or bad?

With Moris i was £170 with £2K excess for a £25K value on my 22B.

Still waiting for another 2 quotes to come back so will keep you posted.

I think there's a company called Competition Car Insurance. Not sure of a website, or number

First call tomorrow if going to be to Keith Michaels to see if they have done with me, I seriously hope not as that was one of the main reasons for staying with them for the track cover!

Competition car insurance and Richard Eggar Insurance - google both.

They both use the same underwriter - towergate I think

They specialise in this type of thing and from my experience they are much cheaper than anything posted above.

Also, bear in mind that you can insure for 50% of trhe value of the car which potentially halves your premium. In theory, your car should be worth the thick end of £10k in pieces! It takes quite a shunt to do more than £15k's worth of damage.

Sorted.

Competition Car Insurance have not replyed.

There's another one that has came back with a very decent policy but dont do stand alone cover.

And Jonathan @ Pace Ward came out on top and really worked with me to get something sorted.

£195 for the day

If you take out a normal annual policy with Pace Ward then it's usually only £50 per day. However our premium with them went up by £200 this year so we went elsewhere......
