Hi all and thanks in advance,
I am looking to have a camera system installed in the csl, I am sick of messing arround with camera mounts n camcorders and so am looking to have a system hard wired in.
looking for something thats not too expensive, dont wish to spend 0000's,
Something that has a good resouution etc etc.
Has anyone any recomendations please and apologies if this ought to be in the technical section.

Ive been on the hunt for one for ages and done quite a bit of questioning. I have thought of trying out the wireless GoPro 5mp. Compact and can be fitted in the front bumper, cockpit etc with great ease.

Could get a group buy going if it catches on. What sort of camera quality are you thinking? You could go real Pro but talking £700-£900+

Check Dogcams wbsite out. They do a variety..

Yea Carbon, I was talking to Mark in Dogcam.com today, he was recommending me to go for the HQR2 autosport kit, sounds like a good setup and about the money I was thinking, any experience of the Hqr2

I use an HD mini-camcorder with suction mount. Great full HD quality and you can use it as a standard camera away from track.

Only downside is i can't mount it for the Ring as you get told off! ;)

Not sure, don't think so, i bought the best sony bullet cam they did with the mid range recorder, it came to about £500.

I might be up for selling the setup soon as i'm thinking of going for either the

Racelogic video box or the DL-1 video set up.

i would recommend this set up for full flexibility. I have found that on my Mini it gives you a wide range of action shots and the ability to alter the weight distributiion of hte car at the same time:thumbs:
