Guys
Having a nightmare with finance on a CSL. basically, I'm looking at a 10% deposit and financing the rest. Approved on finance company but they are only advancing around 21 or 22k, leaving a shortfall depending on which of the 2 cars I'm looking at - one is very well specced, and one was a standard but I was adding AP's front a rear as for me this is a must..
Anyone got any (preferably very recent) experience of a finance company that understands the value of these cars?
Any help appreciated!

Speak to a chap called Jamie Garside at Eurolease on 01737 212650. Tell him you know me (Anis). He has done a fair few CSLs. Lombard were coming back with a stupidly low balloon on mine as initially they were valuing as a 54 M3 and not a CSL. You should also print off adverts of similar CSLs (preferably BMW AUC) to back up your argument. Hope that helps.

I second Jamie Garside at EuroLease :)
Jamie is THE man. He just did my CSL finance, he did the Porsche finance as well. If you're buying private it's a bit more work for him but he can still do it. Age of cars is the issue at the moment as finance companies are shying away from older cars. 10 year old cars like the GT3 are costing people far more in interest rates now.

Ive just paid off the finance on my car but that was half of what you are wanting to borrow. Cant blame you looking for the AP's though , my recent trip to the Ring on standards was a big disappointment :gayfight:

I found standard brakes fine around the ring you just need braided lines, racing brake fluid and decent pads and they are awsome then. The ring is a nice flowing circuit and once you been there a few times you realise you dont need to brake as much as you think.

That's partly because you drove around it in full Auto SMG mode - you big wuss! :gayfight: ;) :hahaha:

Yes that would cook the brakes for sure also makes it a rough ride for the passenger all that on off power delivery.:smt078

Why would running in auto mode cook the brakes?

I could of gone full flappy paddle but i think my passengers would of shat themselves if i took my hand off the wheel to change down
Now Tankslapper at Spa was driving with one hand in flappy mode and was very very fast!!

thx for the heads up on Jamie guys, seems a very genuine switched on guy. Fact is the situation with finance on these cars has changed a lot in the last 4-6 weeks and finance companies are wanting at least 20-30% deposit, which is fine but I dont have that right now.:hahaha:
brakes are on hold, but car is ordered. woohooo.
What pads would you recommend for standard brakes? :)

I drive a mix of flappy and auto mode
It is only my opinion that auto mode under high speed braking gives the best result, as the car is deciding prefect timing on the down changes this in turn makes you use the brakes less.
I also use auto mode for the up changes when their is a big straight.

I financed mine through Oracle - spoke to Natalie who was excellent. The finance went through Lombard who came to inspect the car as it was a private sale.
Things have obviously changed since then and I don't reckon the fiannce companies will be as generous these days.
