Can you get one for the csl?

Anyone got one for sale?

Ideas on cost?

Should I get one from a dealer or are there other types available out there?

I had a look last night and can't immediately find anywhere to attach one to! How do they work?

Cheers

Rich

oh - ridiculous question I know, but has anyone ever got a towbar onto one? I don't really need this but it's always handy to have 2 track cars in the same place!

Spanner you cant fit a roof rack to the csl carbon roof and all that. also the m3/csl cant tow with its fancy diff.

Hope this answers your questions

bugger.

Tow bar isn't an issue at all - I was kind of kidding about that!

I could really do with a roof rack though - it will save me having to buy another car / van!

From having a look last night - I can't actually see why you couldn't have one - the roof rack wouldn't put any weight on the carbon roof - from my saloon previously it just attached where the black strips are at the side of the roof.

I will keep digging and report back if I come up with any answers.

I have tried a bmw dealer but I'm at work and don't have the chassis number with me - the chap I spoke to had never heard of a csl either!

Search on MTorque ... I remember seeing a guy's CSL that came with the plugs for roof racks - it does exist.

I didn't believe it myself first, until he actually posted photos of it.

So short answer - yes you can have roof racks - but you'd need to get the weather strips redone with those special ones.

Here ... found them:

excellent nz - thanks for that.

lol at the weight thing! I would remove them for track days of course, although, it would make for an amusing image, just not with the bikes up there!

Got my chassis number today too so will be following it up later.

Quality! Keep it standard gets my vote too, unless of course BMW made an official CSL rooftop box - in Carbon Fibre of course! :hahaha:
