I've searched for this on here but only found the issue over on cutters. Have any CSL owners had this corrosion? I found someone had quoted a pair of the mirror pillars at BMW were £530ish unpainted. I only need one, if BMW won't repair it, so I'm wondering do I buy a single one or can it be repaired? I guess this would involve removing it, sand blasting it then re-prepping and painting etc. If you have any experience of this I'd be interested to know.
Thanks

They will sand down and paint,, can’t see that corroding very much,,rattle can and clear coat, seems a unusual place for paint to bubble, diy job. Window seals look a bit dodgy I’d think about doing them at the same time ,,,:smokin:

The rubbers do look terrible in the picture. Had a close look yesterday and they’re really not bad at all close up. Will keep an eye on them.

Yep mine went in exactly the same place, on both sides. Had them sorted at my local body shop a few years ago and no further issues, must be an area prone to corrosion.
