Just got back from taking my car into my oil service with the car and the - gear paddle not working, turned out that it has 2 rear snapped coil springs, a leaking diff
and needs two front disks and pads at £580 :bigcry:
wallets not happy.....
James.
Rears springs should be free if the car has less than 60k on the clock!

Rear springs should be free if under 60k miles? Does this apply to all cars even without warranty? I never actually heard if BMW had accepted there was a problem with the rear springs. If so I'll be right in there, I need one at the moment and only replaced the other about a month ago!!

Paddles and Springs should be a warranty job. And as some have said springs should be good will also.
How do you know it needs discs + pads? Lights on?
My dealer tried that once with me when I was in with my Cooper S for a steering problem. Said it needed new discs + pad - Id replaced them 1k miles previously...

Where would you recommend Mark? I used to use Henry Bros, but since they have been taken over by Douglas Park I have had nothing but arguements with them over my own issues and the GF's Mini. They are t****s!!

Hi mate
think the disks do need doing, there has been a quite bad feeling through the break peddle and through the steering, i thought they may have been warped.
