Hi all, just wondering what prices fellow owners are paying for their inspection 2, dealers and independents? Living on the Isle of Man I only have the one main dealer who has looked after the car for its entire life so far. They have quoted 1100 for the insp 2, i might jump onto the ferry if their is a decent saving on the UK mainland.

Ferry must be 150 -200 GBP return
its going to be marginal.
But Heysham may have a cheaper dealership nearby than Liverpool

Yeah I would probably use the time to have a few days r and r in the UK with the other half, just wondered what going rates were for the service. I will give the bm dealer in Liverpool a call tomorrow and find out what they r charging. If anyone has recommendations for a good indy in the Cheshire area I would welcome a steer. Thanks

IIRC I paid just under £1000 last year but I supplied my own Castrol oil. £1100 seems pretty competitive including oil.

Thanks for the info guys, I will make a call to the indy in Stockport and get a price, if there aint much in it then it sounds like my local quote from the dealer is there or thereabouts. Cheers again :)

If your car has a full BMW history I'd think twice about getting an independent stamp.
£1,100 does seem about right. I think I paid close to £1,000 almost 10 years ago...!

Thanks Breeze, I have elected to get it done here on the Iom at my local dealer, like u say it would be a shame to not have full dealers stamps on the service book, after speaking to bmw Liverpool there is little difference.
