Looking forward to this as Henry is pretty much at the top of car reviews for me. Carwow had a similar lineup review, but strangely didn't include an E36 IIRC.

I wonder why they didn't get the BMW UK car, it would have been more original and arguably in better condition.

Sorry guys but the CSL in the video looked pretty sweet

The nose was tip top and the splitters looked like they'd not been near a track.

Gear shift sounded yawney now and again, definitely a pampered example.

Pristine car in 4K. Nice

My steering wheel never deteriorated to the point where it wasn't usable though...

How many miles do you have to do for the steering wheel to be no good.

I use gloves (the same as on the movie "Drive") when I drive my CSL. :smokin:

It is clean, top and bottom and mechanically 100% perfect. Any doubts talk to The Master Tech Paul Travers at Specialist Cars Stevenage. Thank you for your interest. ;)

It remains useable but just does not look/feel good and my connection with the car is via the steering wheel and so try get the one that suits me the best.

422 CSLs were sold in the UK, I bet they replaced more steering wheels than that.

Alcantara steering wheels on Porsche are far better.

How did the journalists find the other cars in the M range?..or did they all just agree that the CSL was the best.:supz:

My point was that it was very clean i.e. no dirt, but you could see the bars had been painted as the colours looked different to the rest of the car and why wouldn't you run the original wheel on it if you weren't dailying it, or at least for the article. Plus the purist in my didn't like the APs for a "look back" video.

Bars?

Offered to put the original wheel on the car ( it was on site and a man ready to swap) but they wanted to leave as is - their story. Takes nothing away from the message.

Is your CSL modded at all?

While i enjoy any video with a m3 special in it, i can't help but feel its been a bit of a wasted opportunity. No lap times, not much driving impressions sans the CSL Review. And incase of the M3 GTS review alot of factual errors (power button adding 100hp :hahaha:, the car not being related to racing at all). While the cars whole existence, as it is, is just because bmw motorsport needed parts being homologated.

Just a bit lackluster, in my opinion. But thanks to the very generous owner of these beautys
