I went to view a sg csl this week and was in mint condition. Only problem i noticed was the run flat warning light was constantly illumninated. The tyres were fine and the owner said that its always on and was normal. Dont think this is the case is it ?? and is it something cheap to fix does anyone know?

Perhaps needs recalibrating. For some people it does seem to be the most difficult thing in the world even though it's incredibly simple to do (takes about 30 seconds max). It certainly shouldn't be 'always on'.

Thanks guys. Was the only fault i could find with an otherwise well looked after car. Made him an offer on wednesday, he said he had another viewer this week and would let me know. Really want one now. Been looking for the right one for weeks !! :bigcry:

I now own this car i started the thread about. Turns out the rear tyre had a nail in so ive had it replaced. However the warning light is still on. I dont know why. How do i get it off??

To reset:

The car shouldn't be running. Put the key in accessory position then hold button for 3-5 sec until light goes out. Drive away.

It measures changes in wheel spin rates - if you are spinning your tires a lot (more on one side than the other), that might be enough to trigger it.

When Mark says the button, he means the one in the centre above the ashtray (ie one of those three there with a wheel symbol on it)...
