Anyone know if the CSL's had a factory fitted tracker. I didn't think they had...?

It was an option, you can take it to a dealer who car fit it at a cost.

Not factory no, if one was fitted it was dealer fit.
In the original sales literature (from June 2003) BMW recommended having a tracker device fitted, but it was a job for 'aftersales'.

Mine had one fitted by the supplying dealer.

It's not active anymore as i don't see the point in it. Who wants a raped and trashed car back? :bigcry:

Not me but it is a requirement from the insurance company. They were under the impression they were factory fitted, but thats not the case. Now according to the original spec mine had a tracker monitor. However tracker have been unable to find record of it. The supplying dealer only have the PDI on their system, however they have moved site since... the plot thickens.

After an enourmous amoung of effort trying to track down my tracker through dealers etc and getting nowhere. I have had my car taken apart, and there is indeed a tracker there. Now despite giving tracker the serial number, VIN and all previous Reg Numbers, they will not reactivate without sending an engineer with an obvious charge for doing so. B*stards, I'm not willing to pay out of principle. I was happy with the admin fee and annual subscription have even had two trackers before but they are most obstinate about the whole thing.

Probably just get a Cobra fitted instead. Grrrrrr
