Hello guys! In the last couple of months, I'm thinking to buy an E46 M3 CS to keep company to the big sister, the CSL. While i was looking for a car, I came across with that. Here is the case. The car is a genuine CSL, which was involved probably to an accident. The funny part is that the guy, who is from Bulgaria he has it for sale with the most parts missing. The asking price is 45.000 euros!!! :banghead:

And now i'm asking. Is it worth to be bought and get repaired? I believe the asking price is absurd. Any opinion is welcome.

You'd be a braver man than I to attempt to restore that! Got 'potential money pit' written all over it. Plenty of pricey CSL specific parts needed not to mention paint too but then if you have the money and the time it could be a fun project which of course would require you to create a thread and keep us all updated:thumbs:

That looks like a 'pick a number, treble it and add 10%' type of car! Especially for that money, ridiculous price.

As Tim said, you're a braver man than I:hahaha:

Select showed me this the other day .... asking price is idiotic for the amount of stuff you’d have to replace on it - assuming you can get them at all (I can already see a few items that you simply can’t as it is not in stock.)

Looks stolen and recovered to me.

If €20k then worth it.

Would love the seats.

My god that car is ruined, I wouldn't even pay £20k let alone €45,000!

I wouldn't touch that with a barge pole!

So many bits missing too, and some parts that are NLA from BMW.

Some of the big ticket stuff is there - Chassis, seats, engine, bootlid.

What is needed? Fr and Rear bumpers, front cooler, wheels, prob new brakes, lights.

Question would be if the chassis is straight and engine OK.

What happened to the carbon door liners - does carbon go that milky from UV?

Well, if you referring to me, i can assume you that if i end up buying it, i will put a S85B50 V10 in it and make it my track toy together with some other goods. I wouldn't sell it..for no reason at all!

That was my first thought!

Agree, that's something to think of.

Easy to say it..difficult to make it happen for different reasons. Honestly i don't know how that happened with the carbon door liners.

Door panels are UV and water damaged by the looks.

I wonder if the engine turns over at all.

Worth breaking for sure but not €45k

You would love a project like this...fill your boots.:smokin:. Definitely would be a good project for right money, shame it’s in a breakers yard left to rot away, needs some love. Wouldn’t like to estimate rebuild cost , somebody with open check book who’s not bothered about being an investment just for the love of it ,,:smt055
