Thanks

Has the induction flap been removed?

Strangely, it’s gone after Reving it few times. But for the flaps, no, it is fully stock, and Bmw did all the service. My last service I think it’s 2 years ago

Probably just needs an "Italian tune-up" ;).

My car is fully stock on cup 2 , but I still do feel the body roll on the corners, especially on the S turns, do you guys upgrade the anti roll bar or the suspensions? I have ohlins on my 1m, and I love the quality, any you guys using it on csl?
Thanks,

In my opinion its best not to accelerate in such low rpms and in such a high gear, the csl has rather sharp camshafts and it in general doesnt like that. In my opinion its best to not go below 3000RPM for hard accelerations.
If it still happens on moderate acceleration then it sounds like the Vanos is not up to speed. If you have DIS you can carry out a Vanos test and go from there.
Re the flap, the car works the same with flap removed. If at all, it is slightly more prone to hesitate under those circumstances. I have proven in the past that the flaps sole reason is to meet EU noise emissions.
It was added in the last minute by BMW. The car was designed without a flap in place.

What select says. Keep the revs up. When I forget to change down after cruising to pass something easily I get the occasional jerk. Happens in 5/6th gear at around 2500-3000 rpm.
Done it ever since I bought the car over 12 years ok so I should know better by now.
