Their website is a bit confusing though, at the top banner their slogan is "only in 1/18", so I thought it was just a re-run of the 1:18 they did a few years back. If you read on it seems they are really doing the CSL in 1:12.

Limited to 999 I read somewhere. Lets hope for that price it has an opening hood and engine.

My wife want to order it for my birthday, do you think I need to order now or could I wait March ?
Seems to be more safe to do it now in case of limited edition, but I did not found this information on the website.

As far as i am concerned they always to rather limited runs, the original 1:18 CSL scale model wasn't for sale for very long too. So to be safe i'd rather buy it now than in march.

Personally i think 1:12 is a bit too big. but the the price seems reasonable.

Can you get it in the faster colour Black ;)

That is the problem, only one color available, the slowest one.
I made the effort.

They are spot on. Who wants it in the slower colour. Even BMW display it in the faster colour

There is a reason they don't even acknowledge that the black ones exist - they're so slow, they don't even register on their radar :blalalala: :gayfight:  :hahaha:

That was fast!

Turns out it is limited to 2000 (there is a numbered plaque on the underside).

Well impressed that the first time they choose to do 1/12 the CSL is their car of choice. Guessing someone at OTTO is a bit of a fan.

Very nice, thanks for sharing!

I can't wait to receive mine.

Actually, they did some other models in 1/12 previously.

I have an E30 Sport Evo like that from them. :-)

Right you are alex.

@0-60, yep, its more or less the same as the OTTO 1/18 in terms of features, nothing opens, no steering, thin windows. But that seems to be the otto way.

Externally spot on though interms of gaps and look. It does look great.

Don't worry, I am sure they will appear on ebay at keyring prices soon!

Personally like the look of the OTTO 1/12 best. All the gaps and paint colour etc match the real thing better.

I think I am a bit obsessed. :hahaha:

Is it me or i think i should stay with the 1/18 AutoArt CSL models, which i have in both colours. Despite the fact that OTTO made it a bigger scale, there are some details that aren't there. For example, the disc brakes are missing the holes, the seats inside could have the 'texture' of alcantara as AutoArt did in smaller scale '1/18'! Doors, hood etc are sealed. Maybe i will wait for Amalgam to make 1/18 or 1/8.

By the way, you have the bloody CSL book (F=m x a) wich i search to buy it for almost a decade! From where can i purchase it?

Thanks you in advance.

Hi,

Yes, the Autoart models look great in 1/18.

I have the Kyosho and the Otto-models in that scale.

I found the book as a 2nd hand item in the BMW Museum shop.

Best,
Alex
