I've managed to track down three previous owners that were users of this Forum.
For that alone it was worth the Donation ;)

Must admit, I always think it a double edged looking at the previous owners.
Just like knowing how many 'owners' your wife, girlfriend or boyfriend might have had.:hahaha:
But sometimes it works out.:supz:

I’ve just received some information from a previous owner, he owned the car from 2005-2009 and bought from a disabled guy in a wheelchair that had previously had an M3 and moved onto the CSL and had hand controls fitted, that must have been wild!
I’m going to contact DVLA for the record of previous keepers.

Will they divulge this information given the age of Data Protection, GDPR, etc?

Yes, the service costs £5.00

Have you tried it recently & if so, using what means or form?
Interesting thread on PH that suggests you can no longer get historical ownership information without what DVLA deem as appropriate justification (& 'I'd like to know who the previous owners were to complete the history for my car' doesn't seem to cut it any more).

I was kidding. My car was very honest warts and all.
Just had been used extensively and maintained extensively.

My car was also briefly owned by a guy who is in a chair after a bad bike accident, and I bought it off him. Think he's known to a few on here. He was driving it with the hand controls when we went out on the first part of the test drive, seemed to work OK ! In fact the accelerator pedal has still got the holes in it from where they were removed.

What a coincidence, my wheel chair guy was a Jonathan from Edinburgh, perhaps he had two CSL’s ?
He sold my car in 2004.

Historically CSLs have large % of guys/gals with disabilities mainly due to bikers who have bad accidents and stil want a thrill, sMg CSL was one of only cars
With option of adapter foot or hand controls at the time without having to resort to a sloppy auto box
Straight out of the box I can think of 7 guys

I met the owner at the Nordschleife many years ago. He was on the original BMW/CSL site ie. 'www.bm3w.co.uk' . We spoke briefly about the adapted controls. Nice chap.
Just saw that the site closed in 2006 :eeek:
