Hi All

New to this forum and considering buying a CSL. Has this car been owned by someone on this forum?

http://www.4starclassics.com/bmw-e46-m3-csl-for-sale/

Interested to know about the £20k invoice for full respray etc?

Thanks

Flat0ut think everybody on here is selling up at the moment, sure somebody must know it, seems to have some good money spent on it, but I must say that engine has some rusty looking nuts and bolts, not doing it any justice, i like to see what a car looks like under the car, running gear etc, not just the shiny paintwork, but this never seems to be shown in advertisements

Flat0ut good luck with you'd search, plenty to choose from if your shelling out good money take your time with your search, parts not cheap for the Csl, especially carbon bits, seat covers alone will cost £1300 a side, cam shafts near impossible , unless that's been resolved. Not trying to put off . I Personally wouldn't change my csl for anything else

That's good to hear how long were you waiting, BMW just need to sort out roof issues, if not only for Csl owners! as it should be. what's the cost of these camshafts now?

Just delivery time from Germany, so 5 days. £565 + vat each.

It certainly sounds odd, all trim replaced, roof replaced, 20K full respray.

The steering lower steering wheel has been covered with alcantara - I remember someone doing that on here - might be a long shot but that could be your guy if you can find the post.

I wondered if it had been vandalised or keyed or something and it was an insurance job. I will give the dealer a call. Thanks for all the help

I assumed it was this one that the owner admitted having an off on track?
