A standard CSL JUST breaks the 1.07 barrier (which is considered quite fast) at Tsukaba (which is a very short / twisty circuit).

I have been following this guy's progression through the years going from a standard gearbox to the Quaife sequential and his times have dropped as he has been gradually removing more and more weight and adding more and more aero (if you look at his earlier videos you see how the car has changed over the years). For a long time I have been trying to find external images of his car, as all his own footage is in-car.

He is now down to a sub 57s run, but I only have his in-car footage for that. Knocking 10s off such a short circuit on road legal (albeit track-day spec) tyres is frankly quite staggering:

I remember seeing some of his videos a long time ago.. definitely a bonkers car. Looks mean with all the dive planes and aero bits.

Interestingly, he doesn't use a supercharger but still runs standard csl airbox. :thumbs:
