After a spirited drive to prodrive yesterday for the Sunday service
I'm now the proud owner of this dash light,
Can any one give me any advise on it and if known
Would it be covered by my warrenty??

No, you definitely can't get petrol under warranty mate :clown:

Engine management, you need to get the code read.

Have you got an aftermarket exhaust and CATs?

I get a light pretty often (every 2-3 months). I'm running a full Miltek system with 100 cel cats.
I use this device:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/WiFi-WLAN-ELM327-OBD2-Car-Code-Scanner-for-iPhone-iPod-iPad-diagnostic-scan-tool-/271344636593?hash=item3f2d6692b1:g:THMAAOxyRhBS9l5 F
Paired with this app:
https://www.obdsoftware.net/software/obdfusion
It lets me read the codes and clear them. 9/10 times it's this code:
- P0430 - Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold
The only time it showed any other code was when my SMG pump was on the way out.
It's not a serious diagnostic tool by any stretch, but it's useful to travel with on road trips and track days, and will clear repetitive exhaust codes on the move.

Got it on my son's Polo (1.2) when a sticking exhaust valve had basically cooked the cat to the point where it had collapsed into pieces and was blown downstream in the exhaust :-) Well and truly cattle-trucked it.
I would guess nothing nearly so nasty in the CSL. It can be anything as mild as emissions being lightly out of kilter - anything from a coil pack, through head gasket issues to a faulty lambda itself. Codes will help, I am sure.
Good luck.
