......or are car values going nuts? For decent cars - E30 325i M Sport £15 -£20k. E39 M5 same price. Ford Capri 2.8 £15k. Peugeot 205 gti £8 - £10k. Even bog standard 996's are starting to go up! The 996 was a bit average - I owned one. E36 M3 start at £10k.

I always get a bit worried that a crash might be coming when lots of cars appear to "appreciate" and the dimwits jump on the bandwagon. I have seen so many adverts recently that describe cars as "future classic" and it's been to the moon and back with no history and 14 previous owners.

I understand that an original car that has been lucky enough to be with one or two owners and kept in a garage will always sell well - but I think it's all getting a bit out of hand?

It's a joke mate
Renault 5 turbo £15k ???????
Ford anything £crazy money
Porsche forget it.
It's annoying as like you say future classic gets thrown around all over the shop.
Something got to give at some point

Nope not just you. I'm thinking the same.
Very little out there now that's not being classed as a "future classic". You couldn't scrap a Fiesta Popular Plus 10yrs ago and now folk are getting into bidding wars for the likes. It's mental.

Something has to give shortly as this can't continue.

I am not sure, actual car values are going nuts. Its just that Sellers are.

Currently there are 17 actual CSL for sale, not M3 wannabe CSL's.. actual CSL.
Before the market became absurd, there were like 5 for sale.. at large.

Whats more interesting is, that they don't sell. There are Cars listed that have been for sale since roughly a year now. My guess is, that its mostly owners that don't really want to sell, unless someone buys it for their dream price.

Same with other "future classic" cars, 991 GT3 RS. Around 100 for sale currently.. barely any movement. Except for sellers reducing their prices. :hahaha:
Perhaps its different in the UK?
