View Full Version : Anyone in Scotland (Buckie) view an E30 for me?

As title. Basically it's an 850 mile round trip for me to view it from Cheshire and I don't fancy driving all that way to find out it's a complete lemon.
So, is there anyone close who is prepared to take a look at it for me? I'm happy to cover some travel costs (within reason - I'm not expecting something for nothing). If it is a good solid car, then I'll make the journey with the intention of buying.
Any help / ideas are welcome.
Cheers
Simon.

I'm based in Aberdeen, my in-laws are based in Elgin. I pay them semi regular visits and could go take a look during my next trip up. Not sure when that will be though so might not be ideal if you are in a rush.

You may be in luck, I may be going to Elgin this weekend. Depends if RSJ get their car lift fixed... will let you know.

This is the car. You'd think that at that asking price it would be a minter. I checked it's MOT history and it failed on corrosion on suspension points!
Perhaps cars from the 1990's are not for me?

I emailed the guy this morning, and he has told me he is taking it off the market due to being overseas on business. I had said I wanted to view it at the weekend, but would be taking wheel ramps to have a good poke around underneath. Maybe this put him off my viewing???
I thought the interior was awful looking, and asked if the original was there. That was the only real thing I could fault it on via the advert.
I doubt very much that there are many of these cars, if any, that haven't had a bit of welding. It is all down to the standard it was completed to!
Just be careful if you do find one, to check there are no blisters on the roof. It's not a rub down and paint, it's a new roof most likely! It's corrosion from the inside out. Terminal in many cases........
