Are the front bumpers still available? As I was told they are £5000+ new just wondered is this correct as that's quite worrying if you hit one!

I was quoted just over £3000 including a 16% discount for a new unpainted front bumper from Cotswold BMW.
MStyle do a copy at £489 inc splitters plus £210 to paint or plus £280 painted and fitted

Which is why I picked up a spare one off eBay earlier in the year. Complete and undamaged, it now hangs in the rafters of my garage just in case. I figured Brexit and the pound sliding isn't going to make them any cheaper.

Worth remembering that most replicas are designed to fit standard M3s so won't fit straight on a CSL. You'll need to buy all the mounting hardware and I'm not sure what you would do about the washer bottle etc.

The two replica bumpers (can't remember the makes unfortunately) I've seen we're floppy, cheap affairs and not something I'd feel confident sticking on the front of my car.
If possible buy a used original and tuck it away, which is what I did.

Currently £3009.84 +VAT full up retail. I'm sure you'd be able to get at least 10% discount if you asked nicely! Does include the carbon flippers, you'd also need to get it painted.

Yes, my spare new one is painted. Also came with new flippers, rubber seals and grills.

'Trim cover, bumper, primered, front' is specified on ETK, although I don't currently have access to the other system which may state otherwise at the point of checking availablity.
I'll have a look tomorrow.

I suppose if it comes painted there would be two part numbers for it

That's too logical and simple

It does come unpainted... i know for a fact :bigcry:
Also no accessoires are included (grill, rubber seal, flaps) so you have to buy them in addition.

At least the fact it's 3 grand probably stops the cutters buying them all up...

Mine was bought some 5 years ago, was painted and did include everything (grills, seals, flippers, etc.). It's still in the BMW box untouched from that day. So maybe they used to provide them like this but don't any longer.

Thats interesting to know, alex.
Do you remember how much it cost back then? I know couple years ago it was about half the price, it is now.

I can't remember exactly but fairly sure it was around £2,200 + VAT.

Reasonable price considering its for a full new front. Just checked the prices and complete new front with accessoires and paint would cost you around £4000 incl. VAT.
Either the manufacturer has changed/increased their prices or its just BMW wants to cash in.:smt112

Just found the invoice. I was out a bit, £2750+VAT but still well cheaper than today. Quite a good investment sat in the box, untouched. I say investment but I kind of won it off the insurance company.

don't even entertain a rep bumper - photos below speak for themselves of rep vs. oem
flippers wrong shape / air dam in the wrong place / poor fit / etc
there is a german company that do a very good rep (in carbon too) for about £1700 though
