Prices of those have really shot up recently. I bought a pair for mine about a year ago and they were nothing like that at all.

Crazy prices now. Make sure you keep a nice layer of wax on the new ones to keep them pristine!

Is there anyway of making old ones with the peeling lacquer look any better,without buying new,I've got a couple of sets kicking about here somewhere

Crazy prices now. Make sure you keep a nice layer of wax on the new ones to keep them pristine!

I've found the best way to keep my new ones "looking good "is not put them on car, leaving shitty ones on for now:smokin:

I install some clear bra (3M or Xpel) over the metal to protect it from scratches.

I'm sure someone here masked an old set up, used nitromors to remove the lacquer then polished up the underlying aluminium with a Dremel. Seemed to work quite well as I recall.

I just ordered a new set from BMW to keep in the loft..question answered about flag on kick plate.
