I know most of you on here have probably passed it :hahaha: but has anyone been in it? I've tried to get tickets for July for Mark's first ring experience but none are for sale on the ring taxi website. I dont fancy waiting in that waiting room all day ;)

Also, is the new museum open yet? I went in 2007 and it was really good then but I hear its now been flattened???

iirc, it was about £40 each last time I went over, that was in 2007

Its 190euros for a lap for 2009. But that covers up to 3 people.

It was 50 squid last year , and i was booked to do it , but as the snow stopped play so did the taxi's ...

Prob good if youve not been round before , but my mates who did go on my ticket the following month said it wasnt worth the money .. but then they / we have done quite a few laps now between us , and they are as quick as the ring taxi ..

Will ask where he got em tho

You buy your ticket (which is valid for 2 years) and then book you taxi.

Normally have to book a year in advance - I doubt you'd get a place for July this year?

I haven't seen the online system before, when I tried to book before you had to use the phone :D

Less impressive since they've been told to slow down anyway.

Donkcsl & myself got a lap with Sabine, normally you’ve to book months in advance but we went into the Ring Taxi office on the of chance there’d be a cancellation & they showed me a list almost 4 pages long. A man over heard us & said there’d be 2 seats free in his taxi as his wife had decided not to go, only problem was, there was 3 of us.

I was talking to one chap who had been in the Ring Taxi many times & had yet to get a lap with Sabine so you can imagine how thrilled he was with our stoke of luck, many feel disappointed after their Ring Taxi experience but Sabine didn’t disappoint!

I was very tempted my first time there but never did. I too found that there were slots available as there are usually cancellations.

I wouldn't bother now, partly due to having been round a fair bit myself and partly due to the cost and that i'd rather spend that money on more laps for my own car

The laps aren't that fast but it's the experience I think people want.

I've only see Sabine driving them a few times. Some friends of mine managed to sweet talk themselves into her car much to the annoyance of people who were due a Sabine lap.

I remember when the BM3W/Mtorque lads went a few years ago they had Hans Stuck give them his number and he said "any time you want a lap give me a call".
I think i'd be on my 1,000,000th phone call by now :hahaha:
One of them got a lap in the CSL

If he isnt racing the weekend we are all at the Ring. he will come out if we get his expenses. I can probably talk him into 1 on 1 tuition around the ring if people are interested for a nominal fee ;) he doesnt like being a passenger though :hahaha: He will drive the arse off your CSL for you :blalalala: I know he is racing in Le Mans series this year as well as running a Formula Ford team, so dates may clash.

You are mates with Vergers? He is one quick mo fo.

Yes, I have known him since he was driving in Formula Ford. He is the godfather to both of my kids. :smokin:
