Decided to put warranty on the CSL again and get something comfy as a daily rather than an M5.
Anyone had any experience with a 640d?

No but have latest 535d which has same 3.0 TT engine and power, tbh great engine. I couldn't live with 4 seats from 6 series and even 6 series GC only has 4:banghead:

Yeah pretty decent car. Only had one on warranty for a few months so did about 3k miles. Does everything you need it to do if up and down motorway or to and from woRk. Fairly quick. Is a laugh in the wet especially front end.
From memory is was decent on mpg and I thrashed it everywhere. Sure it was 35mpg ish.
I would buy one if I didn't have young kids.

Thanks, pretty much as expected. Driven a 535d many times, and that was rapid and comfy, suspect its the same, but bit more cramped and a bit more luxury. The leather dash has swayed it...!
Can't decide on Coupe or Gran Coupe. No kids here (hence why I will go with Ivory interior).
