...not for the Cesil obviously!

Bought an X5 today, which conveniently has a DVD player.
Thought it might be useful trying to plug it into a pair of screens into the rear of the front headrests, for la famile.

1. Is this do-able oh those of infinite technical wisdom?
2. Is it do-able to also code out (?) having it function whilst driving?
3. As above but leaving the satnav/stereo usable by me up front without being distracted by Finding Nemo or Frozen!!!

Wanting the OEM look though, so need to be in the padded area rather than attached to it.

Have seen them, and looks 'relatively simple' to have stand alone units rather than wired into the main DVD player, such as this:

Looks like you wire them into the rear lighter socket...

Good shout Stumpy, they look like a simple enough solution, I might even get a pair of these for the 5 series.

Suppose they could they be wired into the seat controls if you found a ground and ignition fed 12v?

Guess so. Not too au fait on electrical stuff...
