M.O.T. time guys..
I will appreciate any advice on an M.O.T. center
in the Reading / Berkshire area. Preferably one that
will NOT smash the CF splitters and put grease on the
Alcantara steering wheel.. u get the picture..

I get BMW to do mine, even though all they do it drive it to a test centre I figure it is easier to get them to fix any damage that occurs while they have it. They clean it too, one of it's bi-annual cleans (other one is at service time).

thanks nathan, i spoke to Mark at service department, and you are right, the take them to a test center close to Caversham.
However, ideally i would like to take it myself and stay with it while they do the check up.. and prohibit any mis-treatment..

If your concerned, just stay with the car. One hour could save you alot of hassle.
My dealership has recently started doing in house MOTs, so I sent mine there on monday - the lads know there will be bother if my car is abused.

i booked it with the mot station the local bmw dealer uses after speaking to the dealer, agreed with service manager any problems he would fix them the same day, BMW tend to have limited number of MOTs on a day (3 at my dealer) due to transporting cars back and forward

I took mine to the 'Ocean' BMW dealer in Plymouth last time. They are a registered MOT testing station. Not the cheapest but all went fine and they did clean the car ok.

thanks Guys, I took her for the M.O.T. and I stayed with her throughout the test.
I simply could not take the anxiety of leaving anyone from BMW driving her to & from the M.O.T. center alone.
I asked them to use seat covers / floor mats / gloves / and steering wheel protectors,
I got some wired looks but at the end all went ok.
She needs 2 rear springs though and that will be covered by her Insured Warranty.
