Getting the wheels refurbished soon but in two minds what colour. Do I stay original and have the same issues I'm having now ie. brake dust tyre paint etc. Or do I go black which I'm tempted but would this take away from the look of the car ? Any thoughts ?

I had mine done In a antique bronze colour, which actually looks anthracite , until the sun hits them, looks amazing, works well on SB car. On a SG one, I'd stick to Oem. Maybe a dark gunmetal, but defiantly not black. I find black wheels, just as hard to keep clean than silver.

If they're your only set, oem.

If second set, gloss black.

IMO !

Yea there my only set . Think it's best I see pics of black wheels on the car before I commit to a change of colour. Gloss black does look great on a lot of cars of late I'm sure you'll agree

Matts pics of Has CSL's car should sway you to the dark side literally.

I have 2 sets of rims-

oem and gloss black

I had every intention of rotating the rims regularly but the black rims are never off.

Downside to gloss black- wheels off everytime for a deep clean as pagids are shite for dust.

The wheels in that pic are pretty slick alright. Thanks all for the advice il probably not decide until I'm standing on the shop floor either way I'm sure the result will be perfect .

My brake calipers are mclaren orange don't think the bronze colour will match up well but they do look good with silver grey also.
