For those that use this tyre for racing or track days.

At what point am I better off changing to uniroyals?

If damp track with odd bit of rain then drying up i take it these will still grip?

Obviously if it's like Silverstone when we all went do that have about as much grip as cups?

I've bought these to run over the summer to stop changing rims.

On a TD I wouldn't change

At a race if there was standing water or signs of heavy rain
to come I'd go Uniroyals but otherwise Dunlops

At Brands last year weather was awful
And just started to stop
Raining and dry and everybody went Dunlop and we went Uniroyal (just to be different as we qualified badly). We would have been smashed if it hadn't of rained again and also a couple of yellow flags which allow the Uniroyals to cool down. Don't forget if half dry the Uniroyals won't perform for long

I have been running 03 H1s for the past 4-5years after finishing with Cups & have them fitted to 3 of my cars to date. I would state they are equally as slippy in wet/damp conditions to a FF Cup, if not worse. Can't comment on the Cup+ but they will obviously handle the wet marginally better than both a DZ or FF Cup.

How do you find dry grip compared to the full fat cups

I find them in a different league to the Cup tbh. I love them.

For a start, there is evidence of the DZ03G being constructed from a race carcass. The side walls are extremely stiff!!
I did tests with them both back in 2011, e.g had both FF Cup & DZ03 side by side naked (without wheel mounted) put a knee on the Michelin Cup and the tyre folded in. The Dunlop I could jump up and down on it and it didn't buckle.

I can really lean on the DZ03s carrying great confidence on fast corners at the Ring & Spa and they always surprise. The Michelins I always felt they gave the feeling I had reached their limits but still a hands down fantastic road legal tyre.
