I got curious and did a simple search for all CSLs on Mobile.de

http://suchen.mobile.de/fahrzeuge/search.html?scopeId=C&damageUnrepaired=NO_DAMAGE_UNREPAIRED&zipcode=&adLimitation=&climatisation=&makeModelVariant1.makeId=3500&makeModelVariant1.modelId=45&makeModelVariant1.modelDescription=CSL&isSearchRequest=true&sortOption.sortBy=searchNetGrossPrice&sortOption.sortOrder=DESCENDING

Cheapest car is a ~60K mile car for €76,000 which Google reckons is about £59,200...

€100,000 or £77,800 gets you a SB Car with 46K miles
Didn't an RHD go for £56K last week, same mileage???

€120,000 or £93,500 gets you a SG Car with 27K miles
(makes the recent Iconic Sale look like good value @ one quarter the mileage??)

A car with the same mile as that car had will cost you the thick end of €170,000 !

The LHD / RHD Gap sure as hell aint completely closed yet is it !

Nico.

Aren't rhd more rare? Why is the gap so big?

Strange as LHD 997RS are 25% less than RHD

Yes they are :smt055 however the LHD market is bigger and has greater demand :smokin: although the gap has narrowed in the past few years.

Here are another few LHD FOR SALE examples, all in excess of 100K Euros:

It makes a lot of sense to me.

Lets see when the CSL price will be. 200k EUR.
The Z8s fetch such numbers since years and they are not as rare or as special as CSLs.

it wasnt that long ago that I was tootling around in a customers Alpina Z8 over here in the UK and if id have told the chap at the time it was worth 70k he would have been over the moon, think he came across difficult financial times bit the car i assume was snapped up and returned to Germany...now $$$$ wow those are worth some money.
