Evolve are an authorised distributor for SS exhausts.

Compare against other quotes you get.

Thanks guys!

While we are at it, stock exhaust or full Supersprint or just change to Supersprint cats?

For me - stock cats, silenced SS center section with SS race back box.

Just a question do you use mainly the 'SS center section' with resonator or not ??

What is the best ??

Thanks

It all depends on how loud you want it. When I run mine with SS 100 cell race cats, resinated middle and SS Race light weight back box it frequently hit 105 Db when stone cold :banghead: and it was noticeably loud :smt077
Now I'm back on stock OEM CSL 200 cell cats, OEM resinated middle with just the SS Race light weight back box and we're down to 90 ish Db but still excellent sound especially when cold, popping & banging on the overrun :supz: and I can hear the induction noise once again :smt055 which is nice.

Can you still hear the induction noise with your full set up? How much power are we talking about realistically?

Will you be tracking the car?

I'd go supersprint cats, resonated centre and lightweight race back box.

You will love it

Induction noise is still there but not as noticeable

No idea on increase in power, there's reliable evidence of a 10-15 BHP but to be honest it was all about the sound.

Good way to go.

I spent 3 years gradually adding SS components ending with the headers.

I've had resonated centre section & non-res.

On balance the resonated centre section is easier to live with.

Non res centre section is very boomy around 2000-2200 rpm in higher gears.

On track its ace!!

I used to run csl headers and cats with SS resonated x pipe and a titanium exhaust with the csl airbox on my previous comp pack e46 m3. With the csl i am actually debating whether to mod or not but I really do want a bit more noise from the exhaust as well!

I was fannying about as to which route to go, shall I have this or should I do this etc, etc.

Decided eventually to go the way of the bits I've ordered, had to jump in somewhere. If it's a bit too noisy I'll just sell the non res bit and get a resonated part.

My GP was a bit loud (especially when I had to stick a R56 exhaust on it) and it got to the point of being wearing, although the noise from a 6 cylinder is always going to be better than a 4 cylinder.

As long as it doesn't drown out the induction noise I'll be happy with it.

This set-up was on my car when I purchased it, with the Supersprint "Race" back-box given as part of the deal. I found it too raspy (but it was sufficiently quiet that the induction noise was the over-riding benefit).

I changed the back-box over to the SSR and Oh. My. God. It is LOUD, (105dB static at 5000rpm), but the noise is a nice deep sound. However, now the exhaust and induction fight for supremacy, so you loose the intensity of the airbox with this set-up. The benefit is that it saves nearly 15kg compared to the standard exhaust system.

FEEL THE NOISE ;)!

Spoke to Gareth and Damien about doing this when I asked on here about it last year.

Was given pros and cons and decided to leave as is.

I also stated somewhere no changes / mods would be made to the car
