What are the best brake pads for ap racing calipers? I'm currently using ap racings own pads but I find them very dusty and they start to shudder the harder I use them. What I'm looking for really is pads that are reasonably priced for road use only and produce less brake dust any suggestions?

Pagid RS29s :).

Speak to Martin off here for best prices - I'm sure he will see this post and be along in a while :).

I wouldn't buy rs29s for road only.

I'm not a fan of ebc but they are cheap enough and good enough for road.
Or mintex.

I think you will have ds2500 in, you could try 3000 but again they are more for track

Mintex in mine.

Very happy with them, get the occasional squeal when cold but not too loud.

RS29's great pad if you dont mind the possibility of slow squeal, Mintex a great road/Novice trackday pad

dS2500 on front a risk and prob similar to AP version
ds3000 dustier pads ever
pF01 dusty
Rs29 ok but expensive and squealy
RS421 an option
Rs14/15 expensive
Ebc are made of cheese

I would look at Carbon Lorraine, Mintex, Endless if they make the correct profile.

Pagid RS29 have the best bite and do not fade wear isnt to bad
Ferodo DS1.11 endurance pad take forever to get hot and fell appart = shit!
Ferodo DS2500 Road pad = shit
Ferodo DS3000 good bite dont fade but will eat rotors and last 5 minuets
Endless MA45b simlar to the Pagids very good bite from cold do not fade and wear is probably 25 to 30% better than the Pagids, down side they cost twice as much
currently testing DS UNO race pads but wont know until the cars back on track

the brake shudder is when they get hot right? as everything heats up pad materiel sticks to the disk cools and hen you applie the brake again you get the knocking feeling like the rotors are warped its very common pad pick up and is typical of cheap pads or even DS2500's as mentioned above...

all the above is based on track driving btw

Thanks everyone for the information.brake squeal is the last thing I want. I just want to eradicate the brake Judder think I'm going to look at mintex pads again I'm just looking for road use only. has anyone tried using pro-cut disc skimming before fitting new pads ?

Shouldn't need skimming just re face with a palm sander and 80 grit wet and dry ? Mintex M1144/55 both good road pads, CL pads are OK but have had a few backing plates bend !!!, Endless are good as said but not for you as you said road use only, avoid Ferodo on the road the AP pad supplied is a D2500 Ferodo reboxed !!!

I have to say that I have never had a problem with the AP pad (DS 2500) on the rear (AP set up front and rear). I have Pagid RS 29 in the front and use that combination for track and road. Mind you I only go to the Nordschleife and even then do two or three laps and come back in and let everything cool down before going back out. I should imagine that most of the UK tracks are heavier on the brakes being shorter and with a closer proximity of bends.
