Had my CSL in at the dealers ( Coopers Teesside ) this past week. Took it in as the front oil cooler started leaking.

Was hoping it was going to be a cheapish visit and the cooler would a warranty job ... unfortunately not :bigcry:

Warranty wouldn't cover the cooler as they asked for photos and decided it was a corrosion issue on the fittings. In addition , the oil pipes under the engine have had to be replaced too as they were corroded solid to the cooler.

But as it happened, coopers found my rear diff input seal was weeping , so this has been sorted under warranty

Unforunately, when the diff was dropped my rear brake lines were found to be corroded. These are the difficult to replace ones ( 3 hr job ? ! ) , but as the exhaust , diff etc was being dropped anyway it made sense.

To top it all off , new rear discs & pads.

All in all not the cheap trip to the dealers I was expecting and my 1st warranty claim since I bought her .

But, must say Coopers have looked after me very well and the bill isnt as bad as it could have been. New discs & pads were due soon enough anyway

Good skills with the warranty claim

never managed to land a claim in 5 years....despite several attempts.

BMW dealer refused my diff seals weeping under warranty. TBH I think they were just being lazy. Got Simpsons to do it instead.

car collected and all sorted.

For anyone with a CSL that wants looking after by a dealer, can really recommend Cooper Teesside.

Service manager is a big M car fan nad has his own E46M3 . He also has some interesting plans to help look after M owners.

Cooper were very good getting approval for the diff and have been more than fair with the price of the parts , discs etc.
