After 8 years of ownership and after much deliberation over summer I have decided to sell my CSL. The intention was for it to stop being my daily commute but I would continue driving it on the weekends. However, the weekends have been busy entertaining my baby daughter which has meant that I’ve hardly driven over summer, so I think it’s the right time for it to pass on to a new owner.

Please note that this is the only site it is being advertised on for the moment.

Details are as follows

- Silver grey, registered in 2004
- Full BMW service history (still has BMW insured warranty – fully comprehensive, no excess). Recalls (eg passenger air bag) all up to date. Running-in service done at 1624
- 2 previous owners (first owner had it for 3 years and I bought it from Mtorque member who had it for approximately 6 months)
- Mileage is 63,800
- Has been my daily driver to work until the beginning of summer. Tracked once when I bought it (with just 15k on the clock) and have been meaning to take it ever since but have never got around to it (pathetic I know). BMW checked the rear subframe at the beginning of the year and it was given the all clear (ie no signs of cracking).
- All original BMW parts/bits, no aftermarket mods.
- Interior in good condition, rarely had anyone else in the car (even my 11 month old daughter has never been in it). Was planning to retrim steering wheel but OEM cloth still in decent condition and I felt it was better quality than replacement 3rd party sample material which I had sent to me to compare it with.
- All booklets included including alcantara holder plus both keys (one of which is practically brand new as hardly ever used)
- Mot carried out on 23 July 2015 (no advisories), Taxed until 1 April 2016

Factor options
- Bi-Xenons
- A/C climate control
- BMW business CD/radio
- Climate-comfort windscreen
- 19” CSL Cups with PS2s
- Rear parking sensors
- Rain sensor windscreen wipers
- Factor speed delimited
- Non-smoker pack (i.e. no cigarette lighter or ashtray)

Work recently done (this year)
- Resprayed front bumper (due to stone chips) along with relacquer of carbon fibre flippers and full respray of rear bumper (due to small but annoying parking scrape). Offside wing mirror trim also replaced and resprayed (as had some rust bubbling which is fairly common but is not covered under warranty as regarded as wear and tear item). Work carried out by Bodytechnics based in Slough.
- Rear wheel arches done this year under BMW warranty as showed signs of rust corrosion (this area is prone to rust for E46s)

Main bits of warranty work carried out in previous years (list not exhaustive)
- A/C leak fixed and regassed
- VANOS solenoid vale replacement
- Two new complete Xenon units (replaced under warranty as small crack in one headlight unit which was letting water in but replacing both units definitely overkill, but that’s BMW warranty for you. It almost feels like it has had a facelift as the two new units do freshen up the front end
- Both rear coil springs
- Alternator
- Air intake actuator replacement
- Alcantara steering replacement
- CSL alloys refurbished once in my ownership which was done a few years ago (and have managed to keep it free of kerb marks)

Provisionally SOLD

Please contact me via PM in the first instance.

Thanks

Harry

Thanks chaps! I feel like I've had her from new and I remember spending a good year scouring/researching the csl forums back in 2006 whilst saving enough cash to buy one (I wonder how many of those guys are still members).

Bought a one way flight ticket to Aberdeen so I was must have been dead set on buying and driving back to London (although had reassurance I was buying from a forum member and it still had AUC warranty). She's never a missed a beat over the years as my daily commute and here we are almost 8 years later.

However, I'm not one to keep a garage queen so I hope someone from the forum picks up what I think is great example ..

Form what u say it's a decent car. Anyone looking including the unsure better pull your fingers out. All Csl's are now £40k plus.
That's nothing for the cult car you are buying !!

Was on an 04 plate around noon. If so was decent clean looking car.

Nope not mine at bartletts- did take it out yesterday and still surprises me after all these years the amount of attention it still gets especially when all waxed up (talking about CSL obviously )

Based price roughly on ML one and the ones on the forum as hardly any for sale at the moment - didn't realise ML one had already been sold. I know prices have been creeping up over summer.

Tried to find the email correspondence with the forum member I bought it from but must have been with old email account - to be fair he only had it for 7 months. He had bought it straight from BMW after the infamous first owner must have p/x it after 3 years. I picked it up dec 2007 but had spent over a year in the forums gathering intel....even then there weren't that many for sale.

You've updated the thread, so can't tell what you were selling for (price)?
