how are you finding the GP? Wife loves it & did a day at car limits the other week. Spun it the first time on the high speed bend & there after kept it all together.

Absolutely love it, proper little hooligan of a car! :hahaha: Have it on SuperSports now, and all new bushings, brakes, clutch, etc. so it feels pretty sorted. Still can't get over how much speed these things can carry. Cheap road tax here too (€500pa, as opposed to CSL's €1800), so it'll be my car for the winter. It drinks more than the CSL too :drinkers:

You're on a GP2? Do you notice a big difference from the GP1?

Cheap €500, cheap. I suppose it is against €1800. :banghead:

Never had a GP1. Went from a JCW. We both love it, but I'm lucky if I get to drive it 15 miles a week.

I was fortunate enough to drive pops GP1 fantastic car, but can't be compared with a standard GP.

Count myself lucky to have the GP and Cesil.

How on earth do U (being well in excess of 6 & a half feet tall) fit into that "Pocket Rocket" mate ?
Do U sit on the back seat with the front one removed or something ?

:hahaha::hahaha::hahaha: Mini kindly removed the rear seats for me already. Actually, nearly every time I go to pay for petrol I get asked how I fit! :bigcry:

With Cesil away now for the winter already, the Mini has to provide the entertainment for the next while. Did a bit of a run across the local hills earlier today, and I'm really not sure if I would have been any faster on these roads in the CSL. The GP's new JCW discs & pads have bedded in well now, and while they miss a little bit in initial feel, there's plenty of stopping power when required for fast road running

The blue Mini behind (Bart's) is currently running at somewhere around 260bhp, and is a bit of a weapon on these sort of roads

Great fun little cars and a cheeky remap from DMS will see 270bhp - which makes it somewhat ballistic :)

Is that the later Turbo cars Terry, or from these supercharged ones?

I suspect even in standard GP-setup it could still handle a few more BHP quite easily, but I'm going to keep it standard for the moment

Yeo the turbo model - never driven the supercharged one but I bet they're a real hoot too :)

All about the 'charger whine, it really starts shrieking from about 5k rpm :hahaha: You can really throw these things down a country road too, with the traction disabled but the diff working to get the power down

^^^ I can only imagine what that was like Pops. I'm beginning to think the ultimate weekend warrior combo is a CSL and a GP, as I haven't driven my E30 or E34 since
