Hi guys does anyone know if the clips for the black roof rail trim are the same as normal m3??

It's held on by double sided tape not clips. The blocks are part of the roof rail and the double sided tape are on those blocks. If you want photos let me know and I'll load some up.

I had loads off issues getting them to stick with the double sided tape alone. They always sprang free after a few days. There are two types of clips, ones with double sided tape and ones without. Order the ones without tape and when installing the rail put a little dab of tiger seal on their base. That will hold them nice and strong.

I had an issue with one also, ended up using some body shop sealer 'borrowed' from a mates garage where Gregor mentions using Gorilla glue.

Any links to the correct adhesive glue for the trim?

This is the stuff you need, you'll get it in any good motorfactors (Autoparts etc).

When I removed my rails I separated them from the clips by running some packaging banding underneath and applying *just* the right amount of force. I did not pull the clips away with the rails. I only had to replace the clips because some of them broke. I guess they got a bit brittle due to age. The original clips were he'd onto the car with some very strong Green adhesive. I had to dremel this away before sticking down the new clips.
