Would they fit?
What would they be like with uprated pads?

They are 380mm front and 370mm rear if that helps Bryce, I dont believe they are much better than the CSL brakes though although they M5 brakes are truely awesome on the road, I think I would go with the 6 pot AP's myself.

Don't bother. My mate has changed the OEM brakes on his E60 M5 for a BBK. They were crap on the track, loads of fade and when they were removed they weighed a tonne!
Spend your money on braided hoses, fluid & uprated pads if a BBK is out of reach at the moment.
still a great idea then? :hahaha:

Easy now... :hahaha:
Just throwing out there. Was some discs and calipers on ebay for £500 and thought if they're fit for stopping a 1.8tonne car, then surely they should be good for the CSL.

It's more the repeat performance that you're after though I assume? OEM setup isn't that bad at stopping the car a few times, it's when you lean on them again and again that they turn to mush :119:

Yeah of course, Im not just talking one emergency stop.
You're now on CSL discs with uprated pads and 6pot calipers? and you're noticing a considerable differene. (rears on yet btw?)
I dont know how many pot the M5s are, but if they were more than the CSLs and with Uprated pads (like windy), wouldnt it be a big improvement?
i believe all factory standard BMW's have single pot calipers - its been a bone of contention for years - they wont go back and admit they are crap! IIRC a BMW BBK is availiable as a dealer option

Yeah, as part of their BMW Performance range you can get a BBK.
