Hi

I know servicing has been done to a death but i have rang the dealership up where i bought my CSL from (non BMW) but authorised Indy.

They have said for a Inspection 1 = £300

Now i was expecting ~£700 and cant help but wonder what they are going to miss!

Going to have a word with my local Sytner dealer in about an hour so will let you know

Inspection I is half the price of Inspection II, you getting the two prices confused?

£300 is a decent rate by all means, but not silly cheap.

1 and 2 should be fairly close together pricewise, because there isn't much difference (spark plugs and air filter being the main difference).
Both have the lots of labour due to the valve clearances being done etc.

I am only being charged £575 for my Insp II at my local (ish) BMW dealer.

Ring round the dealers, they are slashing prices at the moment to get the business in. Sales are down so they are trying to maintain some business on the servicing side.

If your local dealer isn't the cheapest, just get them to price match.

Blimey SMD - do you ever do any research yourself or just ask everyone else? :gayfight: :hahaha:

A: It's goes Insp I - Insp II - Insp I, etc, etc, etc - approx 12k miles between each, meaning yours must be due soon!

When you put the key in the ignition the dash will tell you how many miles until your next service, and what type of service it is.

Well cheers for the input fellas

Went to local Sytner (Derby) and the guy told me £790!!!

He said they would need it for 2 days as the checking of the valve clearance has to be done from cold (this is what i fear the indy garage will skip doing)

Any more thoughts, or suggestions for local Derby dealers?

cheers
