In a word, epic! Alright two sets of words, it's mine & epic! Met Nick this morning and did a runner with my lovely new CSL. 280 miles later (I took the long way home...) and I thought I should mention it here! Once I remembered to take a pic, it was already dark but this was my best handheld effort.

Oh, the noise, the effortless 'umph', the poise of the Intrax, the brakes!!! errr the noise, blip that throttle on gear change SMG brain, oh and the noise!!! Stopped in Bicester Tescos for some RON99 and then a costas and the local car wash gang all stopped washing cars and gathered around for a look.
I will apologise to the previous owner (It still has Nick's personal plate on) for the various people buzzed today at Mach 1.2-1.4 by a silver streak. It seems like it isn't even trying but 1.2 kept appearing on the speedo. Just need to get a grip of the SMG again, occasionally I changed down to second in town rather than up into 4th; I'm sure I didn't do it deliberately!!!

A friend has just pointed out that the photo has the subliminal message of 'Dick Lov' in it. :gayfight:
Sorry about that, and don't be convinced unless you're a girl!

7 days old and 1100 miles on the clock including a Donington trackday where I could nearly keep up with a mate's orange 997 GT3RS and was exactly on par with a GT3 but was much faster through the bends!

The funny thing about that GT3 was that it has a red arrow sticker to show the toeing eye and extra stickers so he is a dedicated trackdayer.....
but wasn't close the CSL on the brakes or through the bends. It was a warm day so tyres shouldn't have made too much difference?
Don't get me wrong, I not claiming to be a massive better driver than the Porsche pilot, you would think someone running a GT3 as a trackday tool would be a bit handy. It was my first one in the CSL and was getting used to rwd after the focus!

I left my camcorder in NI (will bring it home next time), so I don't know! I wasn't much slower than Kurgen in his 997RS, within a couple of seconds?
