Hi guys!

Thought I'd share a some of my experiences from last weekend.

It was the first race weekend in the Norwegian GT championship. I'm participating with this car as some of you might know by now.

This was a pretty new track for me, only driven it one weekend two years ago so took a little time to get to know the limits and braking points.

I qualified fifth is class with this lap:

Race one went pretty good but I was missing about a second a lap to compete with the front runners. Ended up in fifth place after a somewhat uneventful race.

Second race was a different story though.
While everybode was lined up in the pitlane it started raining just a minute before the start, meaning there was no time to change for wets.
We went out and I had a blast. Ended up with a somewhat sensational second place. Beating a DTM car, all the corvettes and porsches. Only beaten by former GT champion in a Ferrari 458 challenge by just over a second.
Under is a video from the race.

I've never ended up higher then third in the GT championship so I was extremely happy and satisfied.

Third race was on dry surface again. I managed to gain some pace over the weekend and was able to stick with the faster cars I couldn't keep up with in race one. However the servo stopped working after 8 laps, meaning I had to wrestle the car home. Managed to keep sixth place to the end though, so I was pretty happy with that.

All in all I had a great time this weekend, going home with a silver throphy and great memories.

Next race in the GT series is in three weeks on my home track. I can hardly wait.

Congrats on the second place.. :smt023

Watched your video with anxiety seeing that 458 coming closer and closer but then sadly your rear end came a bit loose coming out of that corner and then it was gone. :bigcry:
Great driving noinetheless.

Your car looks great, love that bumper with integrated splitter and that huge wing :smt055

Am i mistaken or did i hear supercharger whine in your video?
How much power does it put down?
Curious to know if you have any heat issues with it?

Please keep those updates coming :supz:

Thank you! Yeah, it was a bit frustrating. Catching the backmarkers slowed us down a bit so the car behind got right up my tale and stressed me to be to hard on the trottle coming out of that corner. We were side by side into the chicane, but I was able to outbrake him and keep my position. Great fun :)

You are correct. The car is supercharged by ESS tuning. Putting down a little over 600hp.

I've added another oil cooler and have a oil diverter. Also changed to the BMW Motorsport T-stat. With those upgrades I'm able to push as hard as I can for as long as I can, even if it's close to thirty degrees.

Great result and great drive on the dry set up in the wet.

Thanks mate!

My wife and I are doing our annual summer event, so it'll be DN12 for us. Hoping to beat the sub 7 BTG barrier this year. That would be awesome..

Great stuff,
I can't make the summer one this year as racing that weekend so everything just a little bit too close. Shame really but the autumn one will have to suffice

So you started racing? That's great Paul! Welcome to the club
I'm at work in the North sea when DN13 is, but maybe I can change my schedule so I can make it... A trip to Nürburg in the autumn does sound nice.

Well dipping my toes into it. Doing a sprint series based at the only circuit in Scotland so into my 2nd season. Loving it!
