My car has the full system from the headers back (including the sports cats) and accordingly is forever tripping the management light in normal low speed driving. It is pointless to keep resetting it, as within a few miles the unexpectedly high flow rate is turning it back on again.

Obviously you can imagine my next question, what can I do about it?

Ideally I want to put some sort of restrictor in between the exhaust and sensor so it tricks the car into thinking that the exhaust is standard (but what would be the correct size, as I have seen ones from Germany with different size holes), or is it just better to have the sensitivity changed in the map?

The latter MAP route is the proper way to do it Mike

Mike

I have the full SS system and also suffer from the above.

Booked in with Bartlett to resolve.

Sensors are moved away from the exhaust using stainless spacers. (approx. £20 for parts)

Also angle of the sensors have to be changed to 22.5 degrees to avoid contact with the transmission tunnel.

Electronic reset...job done.
