Although I realise I may find it easier peeing into the wind but, does anyone know if these plaques are available?

Is it worth me trying the stealers or am I just going to be getting a vacant look?

I'd like to put one inside the car but not if they're going to be an extortionate price.

Thrashermax on here had some replica plaques made up a while back. £35 ish quid from memory.

If you ask at a dealers you will be met by a vacant stare and "A What?"
If you doesn't have a part number it doesn't exist and so it is with the plaque.
They were not a factory issue, but were conjured up by the spin masters at BMW UK based on a projected allocation (not actual).:whistle:

Had a nice reminder today why I never use the stealers for much.

Called this morning and explained about the plaque, the guy said he'd need the last six numbers of the VIN.

Said I was away from the car and would call in this afternoon.

In the meantime, he'd looked and came up with a drawing from RealOEM and he told me I needed to order the complete cf centre console as the plaque came with it.

Anyhow, seeing as he was looking for a sum IRO £794, decided to give that option a miss :thumbs:

Well,

The search for a plaque or even for someone to make me one is proving to be about as easy as finding a bloke with a fit 20 yr old daughter who is willing to pay me to take her on a Caribbean holiday for a month.

So if anyone has a spare that isn't going to cost me an arm, a leg and possibly a kidney could they let me know please?

Going back to the opening paragraph, now I'm in my 60s it's hard to find a bird in her 20s. Bit like when I was in my 20s if I'm honest. :whistle:

Made an enquiry to BMW a while ago. Now had an answer saying one had already been allocated to my car and they couldn't / wouldn't issue a second.

Will still send the last 7 from the vin tomorrow in case you can do better than I did.
