How many miles do you put on her?
Are you bothered about appreciation/depreciation?

Bought it to put a smile on my face when I go for a drive. That was nearly 9 years ago. Weekend toy, used for the odd golf day away during the week, occasional track day & trips away with the mrs.
Going to continue enjoying it the same way.
Prices remaining stable/increasing just happen to be a big bonus, which, is very nice, but nothing I expected. It's a car & 99.9% of all cars depreciate.

1. No not a daily driver. probably 4-6 outings per year, UK tracks and one euro/ring.
2. 3000-5000 per year.
3. No. Heavy modification and appreciation generally don't mix!
Not a daily
1000 a year

Mine was a daily drive for about 2 years on standard suspension. Never an issue with it unless there was a passenger and I found myself making excuses for the ride and creaks/groans from the trim.
Once the Intrax went on it was resigned to occasional duty

I'll try again. The mrs says I never listen now it seems I don't answer the question. Maybe I should try politics.
On average 4500-5000 miles a year.
I'm trying not to think about appreciation/depreciation, but obviously at the moment it can't be avoided. I'm going to continue driving it as per my original thread.
What will be nice is when I retire & can no longer afford to run Cesil, or my funds have run out it may be worth a few bob. I'm not banking on it, as they say in the financial market:
Your original investment may go down.

I have had it 10 weeks and done 1000 miles. 500 of which were done this weekend. Not a daily, will provably do 2-3k per year. Not trying particularly to keep the miles down but I have a few cars and only do a total of about 12k miles per year.

Is there any one who still used a CSL as a daily driver

Not likely on here.
I don't use mine daily.
Last year I done about 300 miles
Owned it 9 years and done 35k miles, 1st couple of years it was my only car and was fine. Even used to transport fence post mix around one weekend, with no cardboard floor issues... :giggle:

Keep mine for sunny days but still managed to put ~1600miles on it this summer. Doesn't help that it's a 300 mile round trip to the nearest track.

Very similar story here until i fitted KW Clubsport and bought a second car to use as a daily shitter.
I have owned it for 7 years and have covered 45k miles or so - mainly in the first 3-4 years of ownership.

I would imagine there are much less who do this now compared to a few years back as the car is too special/valuable/hard to repair these days.

I think I've done 600-700 miles over the past year, which has mostly been done over the last month. It's deffo not a daily car. Too hard with too many noises, which aren't bad on a blast

Mine is my only car so always gets used when I need a car rather than a motorcycle. That's not too often, so I've done only a bit more than 3K miles since Munich two years ago.
Not too bothered about app/dep reciation.

Oh dear. I read all these posts and think I must be using mine way too much. Already done ~1600miles since March. I have a tour of Scotland lined up for next weekend and am driving it to Le Mans in June. Perhaps I should leave off the old girl?

Mine is my only car as well. Insured on a 5k per year policy.
I originally chose to buy one with slightly more miles so I wouldn't be too concerned about adding some. Owned for coming up 2 years, done about 7k miles in that time, including an 800 mile weekend in Wales and a trip to Le Mans Classic and back last summer.
I will be driving it down to Southern Spain later this year with a group of the lads as I'm getting married there so will be adding some miles then.
Living and working in London I certainly don't need to use it every day, but I try and get out most weekends for a drive. If I can get back most of what I've put into the car should I decide to sell it then that's just a bonus in my opinion.

Mine isn't. As I have 320d for daily duties and beside it would be too harsh and uncomfortable through city traffic which is everywhere here.
I couldn't care less about the miles though. It took me years and lots of money to find one of the 8 cars in the country so I plan to drive the hell out of it. Be it street or track. If it appreciates fine, if not still a cracking weapon unless you wanna upgrade to super-sports.
I bought my e30 m3 with the same intention as well. It is worth roughly 10x what I paid for it back in '07 and I am trying to add miles and smiles on her as much as possible.
One other thing, you may call me superstitious but the more you baby a car, more things go wrong with it. I know the other CSL's in the country and their so called low mileage, garage queens CSL'S always have something wrong with it. Minor stuff but still headache.
So drive the hell out of it, life is too short !

No, sunny jaunts and the odd trackday only.
I've just bought a Yeti 4X4 as the family friendly daily, I figured that if I can't go fast and loud, I can go slow and off-road instead.
